Dave Hayer not running again
Commentary
July 9, 2012
by Sacha Peter
Another BC Liberal MLA has announced he will not be running again: Dave Hayer (Surrey-Tynehead). Hayer was elected in 2001, and re-elected in 2005 and 2009. In the last two elections he received 51.4% and 52.5% of the vote, respectively.
This makes 4 of 46 BC Liberal MLAs that will not be running again in the next election. I have updated the candidates page accordingly.
Raj Hundal is the confirmed NDP candidate in Surrey-Tynehead, and given the current provincial-wide polling, presently has a good chance of becoming the next MLA of the riding.
