“I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago.

The lies any Goverment that they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that?

If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done.

You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.”

I agree, I don't know what the sample sizes between household income sub-groups are, but the sample size would be small enough that your error bars would be quite wide, just like my comment on the North sub-group.

While I agree that the NDP is currently ahead by default ("time for a change" mantra, lingering negative effects of HST, etc.), I somewhat doubt the ARS figures for accuracy. Why?

Because the upper income ($100,000+ household income bracket) in the ARS poll shows the following:

NDP: 43%
Lib: 30%

I strongly doubt that scenario.

So that's a bit of an outlier. Additional polls from both Ipsos and Mustel would provide a clearer current picture of the BC political scene IMHO.

As I said in the post, I suspect both the Conservatives and Green numbers are a tad high. Polling when there isn't the "heat of politics" going on should be interpreted very broadly.

The other factor that is crucial for this upcoming election is who will actually show up and vote - the NDP will get their base out which will be very powerful for them.

Its just a sad pity that john horgan is not the leader of the provincial NDP
of BC. Horgan would of brought peace and stability to the Province to the
NDP as well and would of brought us the best economy by a provincial NDP
Premier. Not being unkind to Adrian Dix but i do think we would have definitely a better economy under John Horgan. Horgan does bring to the
BC NDP Team such things such as discipline and its one of so many things
the NDP across the board does lack. Though i am an NDP Loyalist myself
but as also an executive for the Burnaby-Douglas NDP Riding assn the NDP
Has for sure still got a lot of work cut out for itself and not to say the least that the liberals do have an enormous amount to get cracking on also. In this one comment let this comment of mine be to the NDP that this is an essay and that the liberals to whom its got to really bug the absolute most.
My prediction in the next provincial election will be the NDP 85 the liberals
0. Thank you
David W Glavin
Burnaby-Douglas
NDP Executive.

Greetings Sacha ... I have been wondering when you would be back ... happy new year.

Are the BC Conservative numbers a bit high?? ... or maybe even a bit low?? ... only time will tell.

One thing that I did take from this poll however was a continuing increase in support for the party through two polls each by Mustel and Angus Reid ... and now this 5th poll by Forum Research that has continued that trend.

When Bob Simpson was expelled from the NDP party why was there not a byeletion called. I want to know who will represent the liberial party in the next election. If they do not have a candidate as yet, I want to know when they will select a candidate

BC Liberals need to make public their corporate donor list. I believe I am the victim or corporate influence peddling. Governement agencies have been instructed to ignore the law, to the benefit of a private corporation and to our loss. I wish to know how man dollars the liberal party recieves from corporations.

Re: Bob Simpson Cariboo North

I'll want a conservative to win that riding -- BUT -- I grew up in the Cariboo and they are a pretty stubborn and independent lot. That is why Bob Simpson will be ahead of any candidate the NDP choose to run

The NDP will run a candidate against Simpson in Cariboo North. There's too much animosity and the NDP can't afford to write off that riding, even if they have to bring in outside help. Not sure who is on Simpson's independent riding association, nor where the money went after Simpson's departure from caucus.
